Patrick Schwarzenegger has publicly expressed his desire to play the lead role in the new film adaptation of "American Psycho" that director Luca Guadagnino is working on. The actor responded "I’d love nothing more" to an X post where one user called the project his "breakout role".
This is not the first time Schwarzenegger has expressed interest in the role of Patrick Bateman: earlier in 2024, in a comment under the Variety news story, he also called it his dream to take part in the project.
Earlier it was reported that Austin Butler could appear in the role of the main character, but since then no additional confirmations have been received. Jacob Elordi was also mentioned, but his candidacy was rumored to have been rejected.
