"The Studio" comedy starring Seth Rogen has been renewed for a second season. Apple TV+ has confirmed that it will continue working on the satirical show about the backstage of the movie industry, which quickly gained critical acclaim.
Rogen plays movie producer Matt Remick, who unexpectedly becomes president of the fictional movie studio Continental Studios. In his new position, the character is confronted with the absurdity and chaos reigning in the industry. The final premiere chapter will be released on May 21, but the platform has already given the green light for a sequel.
"We’re thrilled to be making a second season of ‘The Studio.’ We’re looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into season two, then repeating that loop for ten more seasons", — showrunners Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg said.
According to Matt Cherniss, head of programming for Apple TV+, "The Studio" has been a shining example of auteur-driven comedy:
"We can’t wait to see where Matt Remick takes Continental Studios in season two, and hope for his sake that the ‘Kool-Aid’ movie crushes at the box office".
The series has been praised for its subtle satire and flirtations with real-life characters in the movie industry. Apple traditionally doesn't share viewing statistics, but CEO Tim Cook said "The Studio", along with other hits, helped the platform reach record numbers in the first quarter of the year.

23It's also a cool project!)
Please make a TV series on 100 bullets, otherwise Tom Hardy forgot about it. And it would be better if it were animated!
It's a great series that definitely deserves a sequel.
