Alex Garland will direct a feature film based on "Elden Ring" for A24

After months of rumors, A24 Studios has officially confirmed that Alex Garland will be the writer and director of the live-action adaptation of "Elden Ring", one of the most successful and atmospheric action games of the last decade. The project will be created in partnership with the Japanese studio Bandai Namco Entertainment, which released the original computer game. The movie will be produced by Peter Rice, George Martin, and Vince Gerardis, with DNA's Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich producing.
"Elden Ring", directed by Hidetaka Miyazaki and based on the George R. R. Martin universe, was released in 2022 and quickly became a cultural phenomenon, selling over 30 million copies worldwide. The dark fantasy world with open spaces and deadly dungeons won players over with its freedom of choice and atmosphere.
For Garland, this is his fifth work with A24: previously he directed "Ex Machina" and the recent military thriller "Warfare". The director is also currently working on the script for a new zombie trilogy "28 Years Later". No release date for the "Elden Ring" movie has been announced yet, but it is known that the "Elden Ring: Nightreign" game linked to the original is coming out on May 30.

with success, you might get a good fantasy series, which is very lacking.
It's a pity they don't. The kind of game that would have a really cool movie adaptation.
@N1gman:
Well, as in all soulsexes, on the other hand, the scriptwriters have a flight for imagination.
