Peacock will release all episodes of "The Paper" on the same day instead of weekly shows
Streaming service Peacock has changed its release strategy for comedy "The Paper". Instead of being shown in parts, the entire first season of ten episodes will be available on September 4, 2025. Initially, the premiere was planned to be shown two episodes a week until the end of the month.
The project is a continuation of the universe of "The Office": a team of documentarians who filmed the employees of the regional paper company "Dunder Mifflin", switches to the editorial office of the "Toledo Truth-Teller" newspaper, experiencing a crisis. Starring Domhnall Gleeson, who played the publication's new editor, Ned Sampson. Also joining the cast are Sabrina Impacciatore, Chelsea Frye, Melvin Gregg, Gbemisola Ikumelo and Oscar Nuñez, returning to the role of Oscar from "The Office".
"The Paper" was created by Greg Daniels ("The Office") and Michael Koman. Producers include Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, writers of the original British "The Office". The decision to release all episodes immediately came after positive feedback from early viewers, which should help attract audiences ahead of the busy fall television season.
