What to watch next week? New seasons of TV series November 17—23

November 17, Monday — "The Obstetrician"
Season 2 / Drama / NTV

Military surgeon Gleb Kaverin returns to Nizhny Novgorod after a mission in Africa and accidental fame when he saves a pregnant influencer on a motor ship. Officials, the media, and the perinatal center suddenly look at him as a hero — and a problem. At home, meanwhile, the marriage is cracking at the seams, and the city whispers about his personal life louder than his professional triumphs. Kaverin is a cynical romantic who in any emergency acts faster than he thinks.
In the second season Kaverin finally gets up to the operating table in the new department: high-profile cases, difficult deliveries, and decisions on the edge of protocol push him into conflict with his superiors. The story gets a through line: consecutive 'abnormal' cases are linked in one chain, and the public status of the hero prevents patients from trusting him.

November 20, Thursday — "A Man on the Inside"
Season 2 / Comedy, spy / Netflix
An elderly professor who is used to the silence of bookshelves suddenly finds a second life — undercover at Pacific View Retirement Community in San Francisco. Together with a private detective, he listens, watches, asks 'naive' questions, and gets to the heart of the matter with surprising accuracy. The retirees around him have their own secret, allies, and enemies, and the corridors are full of whispers and small wars.
In the second season, Professor Charles is drawn into a new operation where the lines between acting and espionage are blurred completely. He is embedded in a private club for wealthy retirees with a network behind it selling classified information. Meanwhile, the detective who hired Jonathan a year ago, finds himself under investigation, and the hero has to choose — to save the operation or the only person he trusted.

November 20, Thursday — "Jurassic World: Chaos Theory"
Season 4 / Action, adventure / Netflix
Ken, Brooklynn, Darius, Ben, Yaz, and Sam try to adjust to life in a world where ancient predators are no longer confined to parks and islands. They are united not only by their past, but also by the guilt of witnessing the beginning of a new era — where man and dinosaur fight for a place on the planet.
In the new season, the heroes return to investigate mysterious incidents: they record attacks and smuggling of rare species eggs around the world. Under the guise of corporate research, they find a global network controlling dinosaur populations for weapons and profit. The journey turns into a race against time: old friends find themselves on opposite sides of the conflict, and one wrong move could lead to the extinction of the human species.

November 20, Thursday — "A Professor" / Un Professore
Season 3 / Comedy, drama, romance / RAI 1
Dante Balestra returns to Leonardo da Vinci's Roman school and once again turns philosophy lessons into conversations about life. His method is to argue, listen, provoke, and help his students think with their heads. Between the classroom and home is a complicated relationship with his son Simone, who is still learning to accept his father not only as a teacher but also as a man with weaknesses.
As the new season steps into a new semester, kids with acute personal dilemmas come to class — from choosing a future to complicated family histories — and Dante takes on the cost of those conversations. Simone's lineage deepens in parallel: his decisions in his personal life have an unexpected effect on school conflicts and Dante's standing in the collective.

November 20, Thursday — "The Method"
Season 3 / Crime, drama, thriller / Channel One
Rodion Meglin catches serial killers as if reading their minds, and this frightens his partners as much as it completely suits their management. His 'method' is to go where it's scary and look at evil without blinking. When trainee Esenia comes to him, she sees: perfect intuition may be the flip side of the darkness with which Meglin coexists too closely.
In the new season, the investigations are linked by a cross-cutting figure: a killer who seems to try on the masks of previous cases and plays imitation with Meglin. In parallel, Esenia makes several independent steps — and one wrong decision opens the hunt already on her.

November 21, Friday — "Daddy Issues"
Season 2 / Comedy / BBC Three
Gemma from Manchester is trying to keep on track: an unplanned pregnancy, a job, friends, and a dad who is acting like a teenager after his divorce. Their small apartment is cramped not with furniture — with unspoken grievances and hilarious attempts to pretend that 'everything is under control'. Each episode is a new fire anywhere: at the clinic, at work, or at the family table.
The new season moves into 'on the finish line' mode: preparing for childbirth confronts Gemma with bureaucracy, money, and questions that have no convenient or pleasant answers. Her father suddenly decides to 'get better' and steps in where his presence, not help, is needed — and it ruins a couple of important arrangements.

November 21, Friday — "Taxi Driver"
Season 3 / Action, crime, drama / SBS
Former special forces officer Kim Do-gi, who lost his mother to a serial killer, works as a driver for a secret service called Rainbow Taxi. This team takes orders from those who have not been helped by the law and punishes criminals with their own methods: through cunning schemes, legends, and perfectly calculated revenge. Each of their taxi rides is an operation where justice comes without uniforms or protocol, and moral boundaries are erased at speed.
The third season raises the stakes: the order brings the heroes to the network, which has long arms both abroad and among people in epaulettes. To save the client, the team has to reveal themselves — and from this collapses one of the important security policies.

The professor has a curious schedule of series publications: two episodes on the same day, once a week.😀
I've hardly seen any Italian TV series, I'm curious to see
I hope Bykov's return as a director will return the interest inherent in the first season, even despite the presence of mediocrities like Kologrivy. 😬
I'm really looking forward to it and I hope this season will be similar to the first one in terms of atmosphere)
And I threw the taxi driver into the parking lot, it sounds exciting)
I tried the taxi driver, but something didn't work out at all.
In general, I've already forgotten what was there, but now I'll look through it to close that very gestalt.
