Successful New York financier Jack Campbell is accustomed to a life of no strings attached, expensive suits, and career success. On Christmas Eve, after a strange encounter, he awakens in an alternate reality where he works in a regular store and lives with the family he never had. Jack tries to understand what happened and how to return. Gradually, he begins to understand his new routine and the consequences of a long-ago choice.

"Many of us, myself included, have thought about those moments in our lives that were key. And if things had turned out differently then, our lives would have turned out differently…» -ЯR-

“It’s a shame they don’t make films like this anymore", — pavlovdv22

"A very good film, seemingly light and positive, but it makes you think about many things. It's true that people often make decisions that shape their future, and after a few years, they realize they made a mistake, but often in real life, nothing can be fixed. Sometimes, a person pays for such a wrong choice their whole life", — Olglem

A baby accidentally ends up at the North Pole and grows up among Santa Claus's elves. As an adult, Buddy travels to New York City to find his real father. In the big city, he encounters cynicism, mistrust, and an unfamiliar reality. Buddy struggles to connect with his family and maintain a naive view of the world.

"A strangely low rating for such a kind, magical film. It's perfect for watching with kids, practically a fairy tale! And Zooey Deschanel is so sweet! Watch it, I highly recommend it!" Аниана

"While watching the movie, I couldn't take my eyes off Will Ferrell. His demeanor, facial expression, and even his voice reminded me of Ryan Reynolds. I know him from his role in the movie "In the Christmas Spirit." Either my brain is broken, or Ryan and Will are incredibly similar in charisma", — sai_

“A good, heartwarming film for family viewing that will lift your New Year’s spirits", — Bananious

A father constantly misses important events in his son's life due to work. Trying to make amends, he promises to get him the most coveted Christmas toy. On the last day before the holiday, a frantic shopping spree ensues. Competition, chaos, and the pre-New Year rush turn a simple task into a real challenge.

"One of the best New Year's films I've ever seen. Personally, it's a must-watch for the holidays, along with Home Alone 1 and 2. I love "Jingle All the Way", it really captures the spirit of the New Year and the holiday spirit", — Mj23

"Yesterday I watched two new (for me) New Year's films: one modern, the second Jingle All the Way. And I liked the second one much more than the first))) I didn't expect anything except a holiday atmosphere, but in the end I got a funny family comedy, a good cast, a lively plot, and that pre-New Year's rush, when the whole world has already learned to buy gifts six months in advance, but you haven't yet...)) I work in a store, and I very often see this situation among customers. Great movie! ☃️🎄", — SOWILDE

"This movie is truly amazing; we've been watching it with the kids every year for years now! Arnold is incredible in this movie; the comedic role suits him perfectly. He's simply incredible in his performance, with adventure, a bit of drama, comedy, and an incredibly heartwarming ending! Watch it with the kids!)" — Аниана

"I've had a tradition of watching this film on New Year's Eve for several years now, and it's always like the first time. It's captivating, with great actors, great acting, and a wonderful plot. I'm still waiting for a third installment, but it's still not happening. Even though the creators have talked about a sequel, there's still nothing. It's a shame.
But let's make do with what we have: the film is AWESOME, and that's a FACT! ❤️"

Fred Claus has lived his entire life in the shadow of his famous brother Santa. Having lost faith in Christmas, he finds himself at the North Pole at the most inopportune moment. Meanwhile, the holiday system is in danger of shutting down. Fred must help save Christmas and navigate family conflicts.

"...the movie is awesome! I'm a total Christmas/New Year's movie nerd, and this one is one of the really good ones. And it's truly family-friendly: not too vulgar but not too naive either, and very pleasing to the eye. The only thing that bothered me while watching it was that I can't believe all the kids liked the bats and hula hoops...as if many would be dissatisfied. Oh well, I'll forgive that little thing for the atmosphere! ho ho ho!" — dianyusik

"A very kind and atmospheric film! 🎄🌨️🔥
A must-watch for the New Year, to get into the New Year's spirit!!! ⚡️🎊🎉🎁🎅🏻🎄"

"A great comedy that's perfect for Christmas", rina_stay

"It's cool. I love family comedies. The second part is just as good as the first. It was interesting to find out where it all came from. And I even cried during the joint song on stage",Викос92

"Suddenly, the second part is both more fun and more heartfelt than the first part) But crazier xD", — vampironok666

I would like to see a selection of Russian and Soviet films about the new year.
I didn't watch any moms from the whole collection. Actually, I'll look at them. Because I like Kunis and Khan as comedy actresses.

Personally, I switched to TNT parody films for the New Year a long time ago. It's kind of fun with them)
TV series are another matter, but usually there are quite a few of them on holidays. Last year, there were as many as 4 of them: the Agency, the American, the Bunker and Tehran.
This is a Fallout and a half and a Comfort Zone...

The selection is great! Light films, just so as not to strain your head too much after "waking up in the New Year")))

@ASH71: Real love has long been associated with New Year's holidays. And it's like I used to watch this movie every year on TV.
And I'm a family man, I'm reviewing it without reference to any holiday.) ✌️

Gentlemen and ladies, please throw in your favorite Christmas/New Year movies. Otherwise, I can't review the same thing this year. Maybe there's something I haven't watched yet.

@vk657522: the list of cherished desires is on the shelf. I didn't know it was Christmas. I've heard about the tequila time machine, but I haven't looked at it. I haven't even heard about the rest. I'll take a look. Thanks for sharing.

The selection is cool... It's a pity there's not a single Russian... You could have added at least Sirota Kazanskaya.

We all promise ourselves to start something on Monday. Or the first day of the month. Or definitely in the next year. To change job, to deal with the past, to leave, to resolve, to stop procrastinating. The heroes of the movies in this collection don't just make a promise to themselves, they actually take a step forward. Sometimes uncertainly, sometimes strangely, sometimes with mistakes — but they do.
