"The Last of Us"
Drama, horror, action | 4.4 out of 5 on MyShows | 2 seasons | 2023–...

Post-apocalyptic America has been destroyed by a global fungal infection that turns people into aggressive infected. Joel and Ellie travel across the devastated country: Joel helps a girl with immunity reach scientists who can use her to create a vaccine.
What a twist!
Joel dies at the hands of Abby, driven by revenge for her murdered father, a medic. This death occurs at the beginning of the season, which is an unexpected decision by the writers, as many expected Joel's fate to be revealed later. This moment drastically changes the tone of the season: the story ceases to be just an adventure and buddy road movie and turns into a reflection on revenge and the moral consequences of decisions.
"Bravo! The second season got off to a great start. I didn't expect this scene to be in the second episode. I cried, it was filmed amazingly. HBO made the right choice for the main characters. And thanks for the action and the infected", — imisteria
"Wow! It was an incredibly shocking experience. I knew in general terms what was going to happen, but I didn't know where, how, or when. And it wasn't a blow to the head, but a full-fledged blow with an oar. Every action has its consequences, and sometimes they catch up with you in the most unexpected situations. Perhaps even after you've decided to help someone. I understand perfectly well that Abby has a very valid motivation and a compelling reason for killing Joel; he's not exactly innocent. The narrative of the first season is constructed in such a way that, whether you want to or not, you become attached to the character and empathize with him. I'm not ready to calmly accept this loss in the second episode", — akvilus

"Paradise"
Drama, thriller | 3.96 out of 5 on MyShows | 2 seasons | 2025–...

In the closed elite community of Paradise, influential and successful people from the past world live after a global catastrophe. The idyll collapses when a former US president is found murdered in one of the houses. The body is first discovered by the head of security, who immediately becomes the prime suspect. Refusing to admit guilt, he faces pressure from the CIA and begins his own investigation, gradually uncovering conflicts and conspiracies within Paradise that threaten its very existence.
What a twist!
In the final scenes of the season, it turns out that the main character's wife, Teri, is actually alive, and he intends to leave the refuge and go to the surface to find her.
"I was very worried about the ending, but it turned out great. The exit to the outside was coming since the second episode. There are some rough edges in the script, but overall it's great. Each episode fueled interest, and the finale answered all the questions and laid the groundwork for a new season. Cool! I hope I won't have to rush writing the second season", — Heavyrain
"The series keeps up a good pace, doesn't let you get too bored, and moves the plot forward. However, in my opinion, the second and third episodes are slightly weaker (which is probably why they were all released on the same day), slowing down the momentum set by the first episode. Each episode ends with a cliffhanger, but unlike other "mysterious" projects, the creators provide answers to viewers' possible questions. The peak of the season is the seventh episode. Animal fear, tension, heated events, moral dilemmas, human cruelty in decision-making. This episode could have been a movie with a little more running time. Excellent performances by Sterling K. Brown, Julianna Nicholson, and James Marsden. The latter brings a good dose of humor to everything that happens. At the same time, the script is quite sterile (my God, why are there so few guards?), with the exception of a few moments. Let's see what they offer in the already announced second season", — akvilus

"Dept. Q"
Drama, thriller, crime | 4.31 out of 5 on MyShows | 1 season | 2025–...

After a tragic shootout and serious injury, Detective Carl Mørck returns to duty and finds himself assigned to the new Department Q, a unit investigating old, hopeless, unsolved cases. Formally, it looks like a promotion, but in reality, it's isolation in the basement of the station and working with archives. Together with a small team, he takes on the case of the disappearance of prosecutor Merritt Lingard, who went missing several years ago.
What a twist!
Merritt had been alive all this time. She was kidnapped and held in isolation by people motivated by revenge for a tragedy in their family.
"My God, what a gem Netflix has released for the first time in ages. I got such a kick out of these two evenings. Everything that was supposed to happen happened, all the threads came together at one point, and there were no mysteries left surrounding the main case. I really liked the multi-layered nature of the story, how the mystery of Merritt's disappearance was solved and at the same time the guardian's embezzlement, the lawyer's corruption and much more were revealed. Because of this, the plot never dragged, as is often the case in detective series in episodes 5-7, when the interrogations start to get tiresome. I really hope that the series will be a hit and will be renewed for a couple of seasons, it's just awesome", — g1487401
"A wonderful series. The narrative seems unhurried, but it's rich. Atmospheric, with unexpected plot twists. Several times it seemed that everything was coming to an end, but no — there were more and more episodes revealing the end of the story and closing the plot lines", — Foka
"I really liked it, watched it in two days straight, even though I only turned it on because of Matthew Goode. The scene where Merritt is rescued is awesome. No one except Akram believed she was still alive, not even 1%. Everyone was just investigating the murder. I can imagine how happy and smug the bosses who came up with this department must have been", — Meloman_Nastena

"Black Mirror"
Drama, thriller, sci-fi | 4.5 out of 5 on MyShows | 7 seasons | 2011–...

An anthology of independent stories united by a single idea — exploring the impact of modern technology and the media environment on people's lives, their relationships, consciousness, and society as a whole. Each episode is a separate story demonstrating the dark side of progress.
What a twist!
In the episode "Bête Noire", viewers were shown two different versions of the same scene. There is a moment in the episode where the heroine argues with her colleagues about the name of a fast food restaurant chain. After the premiere, it turned out that some viewers saw the name Barnies in the frame, while others saw Bernies. People started comparing screenshots and arguing on social media because they were sure they had seen the 'correct' version. It was later confirmed that this was intentional: Netflix released two versions of the scene to reinforce the episode's key theme — doubting one's own memory and manipulating the perception of reality.
"If it's not posted, it didn't happen" is one of the themes raised in the series — fire! It's true that if something isn't on the internet, we automatically don't believe in the existence of that fact. Conversely, we believe any nonsense that's written there! Is the Earth flat? Yes, it's written on the internet. Are nut allergies non-existent? Of course, because there's no mention of it online. I love the idea! And as soon as Verity appeared on screen, even before the main events unfolded, I felt a sense of unease that didn't go away until the end of the episode", — an_khv
"I really liked this episode! I didn't even think it would have anything to do with quantum physics, and at one point I even began to doubt whether Maria really had a nut allergy. In short, this episode is great. It's clear that this whole thing with the pendant is just a cycle of "power" over the whole world", — aliashhka

"Yellowjackets"
Drama, horror, supernatural | 3.98 out of 5 on MyShows | 3 seasons | 2021–...

A plane carrying a girls' school team crashes in the remote wilderness in 1996. The surviving girls find themselves in extreme conditions and remain in the forest for 19 months, where they have to fight for their lives, facing hunger, the dangers of the wild, and their own fears. The story is told in two timelines — the past and the present (approximately 25 years later), where the now-adult heroines try to cope with their trauma.
What a twist!
Melissa, whom everyone thought was dead, suddenly reappears and tries to reconnect with her former friends. Soon, she kills Van, who is suffering from cancer, clearly showing that her actions are aimed at control and revenge, rather than restoring her relationship with the group.
"I saw a promo shot of Melissa and Van a few days before the episode aired, and I thought happily, 'Great, I hope the two most sane adult versions will unite against all this nonsense!'. It turned out just a little bit differently... Just a little bit..." — id216265573
"Of course, they kill off my favorite adult characters. Of course, Wen couldn't wait until the end. To be honest, I expected it to happen, but it's still very, very upsetting. The only consolation is that Wen's character really stayed true to herself and behaved with dignity throughout the series (she was almost perfect among the remaining characters)", — Naizust
"Is that why there weren't any twists like this at the beginning of the season? They threw so many plot twists at us in one episode, take it or leave it! Viewer: "Well, Melissa put Sean in his place." Melissa in episode 9: brutally kills Wen. Viewer:... The bottom line is that you can't trust anyone here. And they betrayed the guy from an unexpected side. It's very interesting why Misty dropped out like that", — mrbradshaw

"Severance"
Drama, sci-fi | 4.44 out of 5 on MyShows | 2 seasons | 2022–...

The series tells the story of the employees of Lumon Industries, where all employees undergo a procedure to surgically separate their consciousness into their work and personal lives. After the procedure, the person has two personalities: the first one exists only at work, while the second one lives outside of work and is unaware of events in the office. Mark Scout gradually uncovers the secrets of the corporation.
What a twist!
Mark's wife, Gemma, was at Lumon, conducting tests related to the work of other teams on a separate floor. She has several innie personalities. At a critical moment, Mark refuses to save her, choosing to stay with his colleague Helly.
"Poor Jemma — spending two years locked up, getting Mark back for a couple of minutes, and losing him again. It's cool that they didn't end the season with a cliffhanger. I wonder what the third season will look like. I suppose two groups of characters will fight Lumon — Jemma, Devon, Harmony (and maybe Irving and Asal) on the outside, and all the Innis led by Mark, Helly, and Dylan on the inside. It's also interesting how reintegration works. Could it be that Mark, remaining inside, will passively continue reintegration, or does it require some kind of action? The season turned out great, now we're waiting for the continuation", — lozzly
"This season was full of visual references (not only visual, by the way, they even put effort into the music and sounds) and incredible transitions. It was impossible to notice everything at once, so after the episode I would go and watch all kinds of reviews and analyses and was amazed at how much people found and continued to find... Just look at the opening credits of the series. I personally admired every frame. The pace of this season didn't bother me at all, it even piqued my interest even more. I'm looking forward to the new season and praying that it comes out as soon as possible", — msokol
"I love series where you watch, spend a long time building theories about how it will end, and then after the finale you realize that it couldn't have been any other way, that everything ended exactly as it should have. Of course, Mark couldn't sacrifice his life for his autistic son. Of course, he just ran away without any plan because he had no other choice. Maybe he'll join the goats and run around on the grass with Helly. In the third season, it looks like Jemma will rescue Mark together with Miss Cobble? Girl power, yay!" — cherik-cherik

It's strange that Pluribus isn't on the list, that's for sure a show that you don't know where it's going to turn next.
@br1ella:
In all the votes that took place on mayshous, most of the votes were always for the series with the largest number of viewers. Even when you need to guess the Emmy, they just poke at the most popular one.
Yes, a Pluribus could be used instead of at least Hornets. Because the last season is full of bullshit, and compared to the turns of the first seasons, this one is nothing at all.
There are really enough turns, as well as other chips. The 2nd season of Paradise is coming out in a week 👍 I 'm really looking forward to it
P.S. Calling such an abbreviation as the CIA there in this bunker is certainly strong 😂 the author of the article seems to be a humorist
But no, I also tried to watch the separation, but I didn't leave the 2nd episode, I quit.
some kind of exorbitant level of outflow
Also, the beginning of the season, when nothing foreshadowed trouble)) If I were familiar with the original source, then my voice would go for the CZ!
It's a shame for all people with ADHD.
Started for good health, finished for peace ...
I'm afraid to imagine what will happen with the third season 🤷♀️
