A stylized documentary exploration of the work of the fictional New Zealand director Colin McKenzie — one of the pioneers of early 20th-century cinema, whose innovations were ahead of their time. The film is composed of recollections from his widow and contemporary filmmakers, as well as archival footage accidentally discovered by Peter Jackson many years after McKenzie’s death. The story tells of a forgotten genius who was an innovator in the fields of sound and color cinema, editing, and close-ups, and who also developed a moving camera mounted on a crane and a cart.

Cute Bones is also a great movie.
But the Lord of the Rings with the Hobbit is, like, 11-12 hours of wasted time. It's beautifully shot, but it's so boring...
And from fantasy, I liked Game of Thrones. Fortunately, there was enough intrigue, all kinds of sodomy and other delights of life) I appreciated such a fantasy)))
Mr. Jackson, I wish you many years of life and creative success ❤ I can't imagine cinema without his work!
And you can also mention The Beatles, Get back, even though it's a TV series. It's an amazing opportunity for Beatles fans to get a glimpse into the real history of the album's recording.
Michael J. Smith Fox in the Scarecrows ❤
"The Hobbit" is good too.
"Cute Bones" is still waiting to be viewed.
P.S. do you remember the title of the documentary by any chance?)
In fact, watching films about how the Lord of the Rings was filmed is no less interesting than watching the trilogy itself.
It's a pity that the studio put too much pressure on Jackson during the production of The Hobbit. It could have been no less high-quality than VK. But even under these conditions, he was able to shoot something that looks good.
