Great director! He will leave an indelible mark in the history of cinema! Special thanks for the Lord of the Rings!
We just love him for his awesome travels in Middle-earth.
Why does "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" take me to KinoPoisk? I didn't give up on KinoPoisk, I'm not interested in it. 🤔

The living dead is top, just great trash in a good way.
Cute Bones is also a great movie.
But the Lord of the Rings with the Hobbit is, like, 11-12 hours of wasted time. It's beautifully shot, but it's so boring...
@karaspunk: Well , it 's so thick 🙃

@musicliveinus: Which was the best is a controversial statement, there's no arguing about tastes. I don't have to like the Lord of the Rings by default. I watched it, I didn't like it.
And from fantasy, I liked Game of Thrones. Fortunately, there was enough intrigue, all kinds of sodomy and other delights of life) I appreciated such a fantasy)))
@karaspunk: Well, I love IP too, but it's different from the classic one with elves, dwarves, dwarves, etc., plus it's more about thrones, of course, than about dungeons and dragons.

@musicliveinus: well, yes, such a dark fantasy, it turned out to be more interesting to me :)
I really love the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and whenever I review it, I get a flashback to the mid-noughties, when I was just a kid, and for the first time I watched these films with my father, sitting in a cozy armchair. It's like some kind of portal to the world of memory.

The Lord of the Rings endless love, the Hobbit, alas, does not evoke the same feelings.
And you can also mention The Beatles, Get back, even though it's a TV series. It's an amazing opportunity for Beatles fans to get a glimpse into the real history of the album's recording.
I remember when I was a child, the Living Dead made an indelible impression on me.😄 who could have guessed then that he would then take off the Lord of the Rings.
Oh, the movies are legends! I just wanted to review it. I just haven't seen the "Forgotten Films", but the rest... Mmm... Kong is a masterpiece for me, no one has surpassed it yet.

The Hobbit and the Lord of the Rings are constantly being reviewed for the New Year holidays. A couple of years ago, I started watching the director's versions and there were so many interesting scenes.
@missFell: I just want to say that they don 't make such films anymore .

@ИнтeрecныйФиллep: Every time I'm afraid to see the news that someone wanted to make a remake of The Lord of the Rings, I think it will be a real nightmare for me (especially against the background of how the Rings of Power were removed). And I can't imagine what needs to be done to bypass the films of this Universe from Jackson.
@missFell: remakes will definitely be removed, it's only a matter of time... But if you weren't Jackson's punchy character, we wouldn't have seen the original trilogy either. I watched the documentary, the studio really wanted to reduce the timing

@ИнтeрecныйФиллep: I agree about the timing. Some VK director sessions last about 4 hours. If he had been allowed to shoot more, then probably a lot more material would have come out. But to be honest, when you watch them, then the theatrical versions don't come in.

P.S. do you remember the title of the documentary by any chance?)

The director is well-known, for some reason I expected something more. The Lord of the Rings was so waiting, so waiting at the time - I read the books in the original and it was an explosion of everything. One of the most striking books, to my taste, is the world from the human head with a lot of details of a philological format. The films were disappointing, I could only watch them in goblin's translation. )))))))))))))))))))) That's the norm from this angle, just for once ))))))))))))))))

After all, VK is almost a reference example of the fact that when people come together who want to give a visual to a work, rather than engage in self-expression, it turns out to be a masterpiece.
In fact, watching films about how the Lord of the Rings was filmed is no less interesting than watching the trilogy itself.
It's a pity that the studio put too much pressure on Jackson during the production of The Hobbit. It could have been no less high-quality than VK. But even under these conditions, he was able to shoot something that looks good.
