"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" will return in July 2026
The fourth season of *Star Trek: Strange New Worlds* will premiere on July 23, 2026, on Paramount+. The platform has released the first trailer for the new episodes and confirmed that the season will once again consist of ten episodes. Among the announced highlights is an episode created in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, featuring puppet effects, and a continuation of the Horns storyline following the events of the third season.
Showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers call the new season the most ambitious yet for the project. Returning to their roles are Anson Mount (“Superhumans”), Ethan Peck (“Time”), Christina Chung (“Johnny English Reboot”) Reboot”), and Jess Bush, while Paul Wesley (“The Vampire Diaries”) will once again appear as James T. Kirk. Paramount+ also noted that the series will conclude with a fifth season—the final one, shortened to six episodes.
"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" launched in 2022 as a spin-off of"Star Trek: Discovery" and quickly became one of the franchise’s most successful contemporary projects. The series won the Critics’ Choice Super Award for Best Science Fiction Series and received nominations for the Saturn Awards, where Anson Mount was recognized for his lead role and the project itself was nominated in the Best Genre TV Series category.
