Along with the release date, Paramount+ unveiled the first trailer for the new season. Details about the fifth and final season and the new episodes—which feature an unusual visual experiment—were also revealed.

The fourth season of *Star Trek: Strange New Worlds* will premiere on July 23, 2026, on Paramount+. The platform has released the first trailer for the new episodes and confirmed that the season will once again consist of ten episodes. Among the announced highlights is an episode created in collaboration with Jim Henson’s Creature Shop, featuring puppet effects, and a continuation of the Horns storyline following the events of the third season.

Showrunners Akiva Goldsman and Henry Alonso Myers call the new season the most ambitious yet for the project. Returning to their roles are Anson Mount (“Superhumans”), Ethan Peck (“Time”), Christina Chung (“Johnny English Reboot”) Reboot”), and Jess Bush, while Paul Wesley (“The Vampire Diaries”) will once again appear as James T. Kirk. Paramount+ also noted that the series will conclude with a fifth season—the final one, shortened to six episodes.

"Star Trek: Strange New Worlds" launched in 2022 as a spin-off of"Star Trek: Discovery" and quickly became one of the franchise’s most successful contemporary projects. The series won the Critics’ Choice Super Award for Best Science Fiction Series and received nominations for the Saturn Awards, where Anson Mount was recognized for his lead role and the project itself was nominated in the Best Genre TV Series category.

Just recently, I was thinking about when the new season would be, and here's the news. It's a good thing we didn't wait until the fall. Although it seems that last season was released in July. It will be necessary to review the previous episodes before the premiere)))

Good news! I'm really looking forward to the new season
I don't really know Lore. I only watched feature films. And there are several volumes of comics on the shelf (but they're standing there, they won't get their hands on it). But there are plans to watch this series.

@Гринч33: It's the same story, but I still won't get to this universe at all.😔
Hooray hooray hooray! Great news, I love this series. The best new model from the universe
Oh, I was just thinking about where all the space series have gone and when something from Star Trek or Starworth will be released 😎 Good news 🥳

Paul Wesley???? I won't watch it, but it's nice to know that he's not done with his acting career and the project is good! I got caught in the news and zoomed in on the phone screen several times to see if it was true.

@Kindness: Can I ask you a question: why did you decide that he had finished his career? After the Diaries, Paul had a TV series, and now there are SNM.

@missFell: After the Diaries, I watched a couple of his projects and even knew that he was actively directing, but then I somehow fell out and therefore lost sight of the news about his career, I thought he was like Ian (he kind of left his career), they only do Bourbon together.
In general, my omission😁
In any case, it was such a shout of joy that both the project is good and the floor is being removed.

@missFell: damn, good luck to everyone, I feel very warmly about the cast of diaries (I squeaked and was a big fan when I was a teenager), so I'm glad for their development, I also have this for Dylan o'brien (from the wolf cub), because I see the news of the cinema about his projects, I'm happy)
