Netflix has renewed "Stranger Things: Tales from '85" for a second season

Netflix has officially renewed *Stranger Things: Tales from '85* for a second season. The announcement came five days after the premiere of the first season, which launched on April 23, 2026. New episodes will premiere in the fall of 2026 and continue the story of the group of teenagers from Hawkins as they face a new supernatural threat.
Showrunner Eric Robles revealed that the second season will revolve around the mystery of Hawkins’ abandoned silver mines and continue the storyline from the finale. The decision to renew the series followed the project’s strong debut on Netflix’s global top charts. Eleven, Mike, Will, Dustin, Lucas, and Max will return in the second season. According to the creators, the story was originally conceived as a multi-season arc.
"Tales from the 85th" became the first animated spin-off of the franchise created by the Duffer brothers. The original "Stranger Things" won Emmy, SAG, and Saturn Awards and remains one of Netflix’s most successful projects.
