Universal Pictures has released new footage from its epic film adaptation of the ancient epic. Matt Damon plays Odysseus, and Tom Holland plays his son, Telemachus.

A new trailer for Christopher Nolan’s film *The Odyssey* has been released online. The trailer is part of the main promotional campaign leading up to the film’s summer release.

The trailer showcases key stages of Odysseus’ journey—from his wanderings after the Trojan War to his attempt to return home. The hero faces mythological creatures and trials, while Telemachus’ storyline unfolds in parallel: he tries to find his father and protect his home.

The film was shot using IMAX cameras and is billed as one of the director’s most ambitious projects. The premiere of “The Odyssey” is scheduled for July 17, 2026.
