Amazon has announced the premiere date for the third season of *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power*

Amazon Prime Video has announced that the new season of the fantasy series *The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power*will premiere on November 11, 2026. The announcement was made as part of an update to the show’s production schedule.

The sequel takes place in the midst of the war between the Elves and Sauron’s army. Following the events of the second season, the conflict in Middle-earth escalates into open warfare, and Sauron strengthens his influence by creating the Rings of Power and expanding his control over various peoples.

The project continues the story of the Second Age of Middle-earth, as described in the appendices to J.R.R. Tolkien’s works. Morwet Clark (“Dracula”)returns to the role of Galadriel, Sauron is played by Charlie Vickers (The Leftovers), and the series also stars Daniel Weiman, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, and Ismael Cruz Cordova. The showrunners are J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay.

"The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power" remains one of the most expensive projects in television history. According to industry estimates, the budget for the first season was approximately $465 million, and Amazon’s total costs for developing and producing the entire franchise, including rights to the universe, are estimated at roughly $1 billion. The high cost is attributed to large-scale sets, extensive planning for multiple seasons, and an expanded production infrastructure.
