Marvel has released the trailer for the second season of "X-Men '97"
Marvel Animation has released the first full trailer for the second season of *X-Men '97*. The new season will premiere on Disney+ on July 1, 2026. The trailer features Apocalypse, who will be the season’s main antagonist, as well as the heroes, who are stranded in various timelines.
Following the events of the first season finale, part of the team is transported to Ancient Egypt during Apocalypse’s rise to power, while Cyclops and Jean Grey find themselves in the distant future. Meanwhile, Bishop and Forge try to bring the X-Men back to the 1990s, while the world faces a new wave of anti-mutant hatred. The trailer also features Psylocke, Colossus, Archangel, Polaris, and the X-Force team.
Jennifer Hale, Cal Dodd, Lenore Zann, and Ross Marquand have returned to the voice cast for the second season. Executive producers Eric and Julia Levald, who worked on the original 1990s animated series, now officially lead the project alongside director Larry Houston. According to the creators, Marvel is already working on at least the show’s fourth season and plans to release new seasons annually.
"X-Men '97" won the Critics Choice Super Awards for Best Animated Series, as well as an Annie Award for Best Animation for Television.
