The trailer for the second season of "X-Men '97" has been released

Marvel has released the first images from the sequel to one of the most successful animated series of recent years. The new episodes are set to premiere in the summer of 2026.

Marvel Animation has released the full trailer for the second season of *X-Men '97*. The sequel to the animated series premieres on Disney+ on July 1, 2026, and will consist of nine episodes. The new episodes will pick up immediately after the Season 1 finale.

After their clash with Bastion, the team finds itself scattered across different eras. Some mutants end up in Ancient Egypt during the rise of Apocalypse, while others are transported to the distant future. The heroes must find a way to return home, while in the 1990s, new manifestations of hatred toward mutants are on the rise. The trailer also features Apocalypse, Wolverine—whose fate remained uncertain after the Season 1 finale—and several new characters.

"X-Men '97" continues the storyline of the cult 1990s animated series. The project received critical and audience acclaim after the release of the first season in 2024, and Marvel greenlit a third season even before the premiere of the second.

Maybe the spider will be filmed for at least one season, although it doesn't seem to be very popular in the USA, as far as I know.
