Disney+ has decided not to produce a second season of the series *Wonder Man*. The writers' room for the sequel was never opened, so work on new episodes never began. The decision was made four months after Marvel announced the series’ renewal.

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley were set to return to their roles in the second season. After the news broke, Abdul-Mateen II posted a message on social media, writing: “That’s life… Everything will shake out.” The actor also thanked the show’s creators, his castmates, and the audience for their support.

“Wonder Man” premiered on Disney+ in 2026. The series was created by Destin Daniel Cretton, director of the film “Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings.” In addition to Yahya Abdul-Mateen II and Ben Kingsley, the series stars Demetrius Gross, Ed Harris, Lauren Glazer, and Byron Bowers.

Apparently, the series has ratings (since it was first renewed), but not high enough to spend money on a second season.

The main character does something big and serious in the finale, so the audience is left with the question "wow, what are the consequences?!". I still don't understand why they love this series. He's nothing: there's nothing from superheroics, the plot is just normal. The only thing is a black-and-white series about Dorman. Superhero abilities and behind-the-scenes acting were intertwined in it.
