"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" grossed $927 million in its opening days
"Spider-Man: Brand New Day" grossed $927 million during its first weekend in theaters worldwide, making it the second-most successful opening in film history. "Avengers: Endgame" remains at the top of the list , having grossed $1.22 billion during its opening weekend in 2019.
In the U.S. and Canada, the film grossed approximately $355 million during its opening weekend. This result allowed the new installment to surpass the franchise’s previous record— *Spider-Man: No Way Home,” which opened with $600.5 million at the global box office in 2021. “A New Day” also became the biggest film debut of 2026.
Tom Holland reprised his leading role in the film. Zendaya and Jacob Batalon returned to their respective roles, and among the new cast members was Jon Bernthal, who played the Punisher. The film was directed by Destin Daniel Cretton (“Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings”).
The plot continues Peter Parker’s story following the events of *Spider-Man: No Way Home*, in which the hero lost contact with his loved ones after Doctor Strange’s spell. "Spider-Man: No Way Home" is the fourth standalone film featuring Tom Holland’s version of the hero. The total box office revenue for the Spider-Man franchise has approached the $10 billion mark.
