A new Swedish crime thriller from the creator of *Lupin* and *The Take* will premiere on Netflix in August 2026. The project stars Jakob Oftebro and Peter Andersson.
Netflix has released the official trailer for the series *Blood Sacrifice*. The five-episode crime thriller will premiere on August 20, 2026, on the streaming service.
After an attack on a house in the Stockholm archipelago, two police officers respond to the call but find the crime scene empty. Later, their bodies are discovered, and the investigation reveals that the murders may be connected. Tomas must team up with his father, with whom he hasn’t been on speaking terms for a long time, to stop the killer.
The series was created by George Kay, known for “Lupin” and “Takeover.” It was directed by Christoffer Nyholm (“Murder”). The cast includes Jakob Oftebro (“Hamilton”) and Peter Andersson (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”).
And only a third of it was shot by this director, and he has nothing to do with the script.
