Tom Rothman, Chairman and CEO of Sony Pictures, stated that the company plans to continue the story of Peter Parker. According to the studio head, Sony is interested in further developing the character and is counting on the participation of Tom Holland, who has played the superhero since 2016.

Tom Holland first appeared as Peter Parker in the film *Captain America: Civil War* and went on to play the character in the Marvel Studios and Sony trilogy. The actor also appeared in *Avengers: Infinity War* and *Avengers: Endgame*.

In addition to live-action films, Sony is expanding the franchise’s animated branch: the next film in the *Spider-Man: Beyond the Universe*series is currently in production.

Well, it's far from news that they will continue, but with such huge breaks between films, something needs to be done, because I'm not getting any younger..... Still, I want to see Tom's distinct Parker in the adult version in the future.

@mrbradshaw: otherwise, we already know that the mutation into a monster in part 4 was deliberately abandoned because of the children's audience (of course, this would cut fees). But here I am, small in the 1994 cartoon, happily watching the "Neogenic Nightmare" and falling out of this transformation!!!

It's not surprising at all, with such huge fees.

@ASH71: That's exactly what I wanted to write.
Holland is doing a great job in this role, and considering the fees, it's not surprising at all.
We need more spider more 🕸️🕷️
Well, that's great news. But predictable.
Well, because Sony has a contract and they have to start production of a new part of the state of emergency every 3.5 years) and taking into account the current large fees, this is the cow that is great to milk.
