In fact, I only remember the ending, I like such open questions with understatement. With a good understatement, when not the plot was cut short, but the behavior of the hero is unclear. I just want to discuss and speculate with someone.

"Bugonia" is good, I looked at it without stopping. I endured the actress at the beginning (don't rush right away), but on the whole I quickly got used to it. The main character is topchik, he played really well, it's nice to watch. Kmk, it was easy to slip into some kind of clowning with his role, but it's right on the line between seriousness and farce, great)
I liked the "inserts", which slightly distracted from the main topic, but did not look foreign. For example, as the main character, she constantly suggests to her employees to leave early, "but decide for yourself," "go, of course, if there are no cases," "but in general, yes, we are doing business here." It's a pretty positive-bile manipulation. Anyway, the dialogues are surprisingly cool, especially for such a farcical entourage.
In short, the movie is cool, but then I watched the third movie, and the effect blurred on its background...

The effect was like Estlund's "Triangle of Sadness" (by the way, this one is also fighting for the top 1); I had to pause and wipe my sweat every two minutes.
First of all, here is each bast in a line, there are no unnecessary scenes, useless dialogues, any side lines. True, the same actress, but I got used to the second film.
Interestingly, there are usually tense scenes in movies, but there are quieter ones, and here there is an endless stream of very correctly and evenly matched game.
Additionally, it's cool that the visual style is so deliberately surreal, but at the same time, you believe it. It's not meant to distract, but rather to highlight the accents in the characters' dialogues or scenes. The ship's visit to Alexandria is worth it) Or how the black-and-white filter with the fisheye lens gradually changes, along with the "maturation" of the main character.
The film soul of the author in a surreal style is on the market for a bunch for a ruble, but so that it all looks appropriate, natural, beautiful, so that it does not scream, but complements — this is the skill of the director.
It's clear that Lanthimosa is really excited about what he's doing in "The Poor and the Unfortunate." How he wants to add so many things, how he uses any scene, any dialogue for this. It's nice to watch in every way.
By the way, I also watched "Types of kindness." The third time, the actress was even pleased :) I didn't understand the global connection between the plots, but it's not a big deal, it seems: the film looks in one breath simply because it's beautiful. You get pleasure from the process as from "the very one," usually one painting at an exhibition, simply because it is there and it is like this, and it gives you some emotions and impressions.
Next up is the "Killing of the Sacred Deer."
And "The Poor Wretches" is not even one of his three films for me.
