Netflix has renewed the series based on One Piece for a second season
Netflix has renewed the series "Van Pis", based on the manga of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, for a second season. This was revealed by Eiichiro Oda himself in a special video on the streaming service.
Recently, executive producer Marty Adelstein revealed that the script for the second season is ready and production on the new installment will begin as soon as the strike is over. Adelstein said that the second season will be released about 12 to 18 months after the protests end.
The series follows the travels of the young crew of the Straw Hat Pirates and their captain Manky D. Luffy. They embark on a quest to find a legendary treasure that will help Luffy become the next Pirate King. All eight episodes of the first season were released on Netflix on August 31.
