A sequel to the "Wizards of Waverly Place" series will be released in the fall
Disney+ has given the green light to a sequel to the "Wizards of Waverly Place" series. Earlier this year, the project team shot a pilot episode of the show, and now the streaming service has ordered the production of the entire season.
Shooting of the project with the working title "Wizards" will start in April, and it will premiere in the fall. Disney has already published the first photo of the sequel, which has Selena Gomez and David Henrie as Alex and Justin Russo.
Theupcoming series will tell about Justin, who gave up his magical powers and now lives an ordinary life with his wife and two sons. One day he meets a young sorceress in need of magic training. Justin must embrace the past to ensure the future of the wizarding world.
David Henrie will star in the new show, while Selena Gomez will only appear in the first episode. Both will serve as executive producers for the series.
