Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman will star in the film adaptation of Agatha Christie's "The Seven Dials Mystery"
Netflix has announced the cast of its upcoming adaptation of Agatha Christie's novel "The Seven Dials Mystery". The main role in the project will be played by the star of the movie "How to Have Sex" Mia McKenna-Bruce, and together with her in the show will star Helena Bonham Carter and Martin Freeman.
The action of the film adaptation will take place in 1925. According to the plot, several guests gathered at a fancy party, during which someone's joke led to a gruesome murder. At the center of the plot will be a curious lady Eileen Brent (Mia McKenna-Bruce), who will try to unravel a chilling conspiracy. Bonham Carter and Freeman will play the roles of Lady Caterham and Superintendent Jim Battle, respectively.
The script for the project was written by Chris Chibnall, the creator of "Broadchurch" and former "Doctor Who" showrunner. Filming on the series will begin this summer, so we can't expect the premiere until next year at the earliest.
