7 more dashing '90s action movies. Nicolas Cage, Keanu Reeves, and Bruce Willis are all in on the action

Last week we talked about cool full-length action movies released in the 90s. In the comments MyShows users shared their favorite action movies of this period (thanks!), and we made the second part of the collection based on them.
"Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels"
Crime, comedy, action | 4.5 out of 5 on MyShows | 1998
Four friends after a game of cards find themselves in a big — very big — debt to the organizer of a tournament: in a week they have to bring him £500,000. The friends get lucky: they accidentally learn that their gangster neighbors are going to attack an underground drug lab. The foursome decides to rob the bandits, but of course things don't go according to plan.
"Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels" — the first feature film by Guy Ritchie, shot on his own script. The picture was also the debut for Jason Statham and former soccer player Vinnie Jones, who played some of the main roles.
"The movie is just bursting with quotes", — Citokos.

"Independence Day"
Action, adventure, fantasy | 4.06 out of 5 on MyShows | 1996
Roland Emmerich's sci-fi action movie starring Will Smith. In early July, humans receive a strange signal from outer space. Soon huge spaceships appear in the sky and start destroying all living things.
Cities go up in flames, but people can not defend themselves: alien ships were invulnerable to military weapons. The President of the United States together with a small group of survivors goes to Area 51 to develop a plan to save the Earth. Now the fate of the planet depends on them.
"Watched a long time ago and remembered only hovering huge space saucers and Will Smith. Re-watched and was greatly surprised that, as it turns out, the movie is very large-scale. By the way, the soundtrack at the end is very similar to the Overwatch soundtrack :)", — tonykurebusu.

"Die Hard 2"
Action, thriller | 4.22 out of 5 on MyShows | 1990
A sequel to the cult action movie starring Bruce Willis. In the sequel, which also takes place on Christmas Day, John McClane tries to stop the terrorists who have taken over Washington International Airport. Time is running out, because the plane in which McClane's wife is flying is circling the sky, and soon it will run out of fuel.
The second "Die Hard" received generally positive reviews: critics praised the action, as well as the tone of the film, but criticized the plot. Nevertheless, the film grossed $240 million at the box office, doubling the earnings of the first installment and ranking seventh on the list of highest-grossing films of 1990.

Everything is going great until the criminals seize control of the airplane. They steer it to Las Vegas, and meanwhile the police plan to blow up the plane with all the passengers.

"Number one in the genre, must to see", — Mechtaev.
"Very long build-up, got a little bored when the relationships of the three heroes were shown, but after the heist it's a perfect movie. Al Pacino steals every scene and the soundtrack is great. The action is super, the ending is also great which is very important", — niggapig.

"Speed"
Action, adventure, crime | 4.32 out of 5 on MyShows | 1994
Terrorist Howard Payne (Dennis Hopper) plants a bomb on a public bus that will explode if the bus speed drops below 80 km/h. Police officer Jack Traven (Keanu Reeves), along with a random passenger who happens to be driving, must figure out how to defuse the bomb before the bus runs out of gas. Meanwhile, Traven's partners try to find Payne, who is keeping a close eye on what's going on.
"Favorite Keanu movie!" — grentman.
"Didn't get to it until 2024. The long wait was worth it. The main pattern is the little man in the system will save everyone. You can find something to pick on if you want, but it's 1994. The acting tandem of Sandra Bullock and Keanu Reeves is marvelous. It was unusual to see Ruck Alan (Connon Roy from The Heirs)", — wolfork15.
