"Bridgerton" showrunner revealed when the show's fourth season will be released

Jess Brownell, showrunner of the TV series "Bridgerton", gave an interview to The Hollywood Reporter in which she revealed that the upcoming fourth season of the project will be released in about two years.

"We are working to try and put the seasons out more quickly, but they do take eight months to film and then they have to be edited, and then they have to be dubbed into every language. And the writing takes a very long time as well, so we’re kind of on a two-year pace, we’re trying to speed up, but somewhere in that range", — Brownell shared.

At the same time, the showrunner did not reveal which Bridgerton will be the focus of the next season. But, according to her, some chippers will be very, very happy.

"Bridgerton" is about the mysterious Lady Whistledown, who publishes a gossip pamphlet. In it she retells all the scandals and reveals the secrets of London's high society, but most of all she is interested in girls from aristocratic families who are looking for husbands.

The third season of the project, dedicated to the relationship between Colin and Penelope, was divided into two parts. The first was released on May 16, and the final four episodes will be shown today — June 13.

@Nastasia: Classic romance novels where the focus is only on the couple and the rest is secondary.

To my taste, the series is more interesting to reveal the pseudo-historical era, brought humor and self-irony, interesting minor characters like Lady Featherington, and the Queen herself.

If you really want to extend the Bridgertons, then you can read it, but I would not have high hopes for novels)

This is a classic of romance novels, where there is a couple in the center, and around there are only decorations and spotlights to highlight the couple.

Apparently Netflix is not so confident in the series to shoot it before the season airs - that's why there is such a big gap. Unfortunately, this is rarely beneficial.

It's strange, of course - they used to release TV series every year with 20 episodes per season and no one whined that it takes a lot of time for everything, but now every two years 8-10 episodes barely... The interest disappears and you forget what was there in the previous season.
