Sarah Michelle Gellar has joined the cast of the "Dexter" prequel
The prequel "Dexter: Original Sin" will star Sarah Michelle Gellar ("Cruel Intentions"). She will reincarnate in Tanya Martin, head of the forensics department of the Miami Police Department.
The series will dive into the early 90's and will tell about the life of young Dexter Morgan during his internship. The character is just beginning his journey as a serial maniac, while his adoptive father Harry forms a code for his son to follow during the hunt.
Michael C. Hall, who played Dexter previously, will serve as a producer on the project. A younger version of the serial vigilante will be played by Patrick Gibson ("The Tudors"). Molly Brown ("Billions"), James Martinez ("House of Cards"), and Alex Shimizu ("The Terror") have already joined the cast.
