On the one hand, the vivid acting of Val Kilmer and Rachel Griffiths enlivens this show.
But on the other hand, the way Steve Zahn plays the role of young Gus is kind of buffoonish. Is it appropriate? The choice of Karl Urban (an action hero) for the role of Woodrow is also quite controversial: he doesn't use the word at all here.
Maybe it didn't work out smoothly, but in the end, the story still came out great. I was especially pleased with the numerous references to the "Lonely Pigeon"; here the scenery is familiar and many iconic places, and even the main characters are dressed up in similar clothes.
