Language. They speak quite a lot, very naturally, sometimes quickly, often not very intelligibly, full of characters with different, pronounced simple accents, including regional ones. Subtitles, in my opinion, are very useful.

The stressful, difficult and dangerous job of a London police specialist in operational implementation. Various tasks, curators and legends, locations from expensive salons to provincial slums, subjects from thoughtful gang leaders to crazy limitless, and almost always a deadly risk.

A high-quality story and a wonderful main character. An Irishman with a tragic past, a charming wit and a buffoon, a brash, confident policeman with a quick mind, outstanding self-control and a stubborn, irreverent character. Good, fascinating stories with a great atmosphere, fast-paced events and delightfully witty, vivid and imaginative jokes. The light nature of the fervent and cheerful first season almost immediately disappears in the second, the case takes an unexpectedly harsh and tragic turn, and the series suddenly turns into a very tough police drama. And to the intense intrigue and mischievous humor that have been preserved, dark realities have been added - the dark sides of undercover work, moral gray areas and ambiguous ethical issues.

Good editing, excellent staging and excellent mise en scene. Successful casting. Nesbitt is just great, everyone else plays quite well, which, along with the production, creates an impression of authenticity. However, Murphy's unique humor sometimes gives an unrealistically light touch to everything that happens.

It turned out to be a fairly strong and dynamic thriller filled with violent actions, suspense and plot twists, unpredictable situations and Irish humor, with a cute and colorful main character who forms the personality and style of the series not only with catchy jokes, but also with a unique mixture of external frivolous mischief and inner stoic courage. I definitely recommend the first season.
