Overview

In a world where time passes at a crawl and the blood of your neighbor runs blue, 17 year old high school student Ayato Kamina goes about his daily life within Tokyo Jupiter oblivious to the world around him, having been educated with the fact that the all civilization but Tokyo has been destroyed. But all that changes when the mysterious civilization "MU" invades his home, raining destruction down from the sky in the form of strange monsters called Dolems. The events that occur next will lead Ayato to the mysterious woman named Reika Mishima, to the truth of their existence, the discovery of what and who he is, and to the powerful angelic robot RahXephon.

They used to love making confusing and complicated TV series. In my opinion, “Texhnolyze” and "Experiments Lain" are easier to understand than “RahXephon”. I got on this series by the fur tag. Because I thought there would be furs, I actually looked at all the "Gundams", from new to old. So this series has never been a mech in the classical sense. Powdered fiction, which is mixed with a lot of borrowings from the same "Macross Frontier" and “Evangelion". Some people say that it's better to review “Macross” again than to start watching “RahXephon". But I wouldn't be so categorical, yes it's not the best anime, but there are good moments in it too. It is difficult to call it a landmark or a masterpiece, but it is quite possible to be a cult. Unfortunately, this is not in fashion now, and they do not do this.

At first glance, everything looks very similar to Evangelion. Instead of Jews, there are Angels, there are people, and there are aliens and various skeletons in the closet. Tokyo is not underground here, but under a dome. And then the innovations with blood and music begin. I kept thinking, it seems to be going well, I really like the drawing and graphics, I have very curious eyes and there are a couple of hot women who I can't take my eyes off. There are interesting storylines and psychological twists for me. It's very interesting to watch how the end of one episode and the beginning of the next one shy away from each other, the plot definitely wants to knock you down with each new episode, but it's still kind of delayed. I really liked the first half and a few pieces from the second. Everything else is a disappointment. After all, I was waiting for "good fiction," and in front of us they are very persistently and monotonously winding snot on their fist. From the very beginning, you realize that they don't tell you a lot and you're waiting for explanations, they explained something, I only understood something thanks to Wikipedia, and some of it just seemed superfluous to me. Now I'm thinking, does it make sense to watch a movie? Tell me who saw it.

I don't really like fur, but I liked this one. I've been watching it for a long time, but I remember that unlike Eva, she came in literally immediately and completely. That is, I didn't need a break to watch her. I think I'll even review it sometime to refresh the series in my memory.)
