@skyline_007: I agree that it's a bit silly, but it's still a nice series.)

But for me, the plot is kind of silly at times.. there were plenty of chances to kill at least Mark or finish off the Praetor, rather than injure and leave... and how many escapes each other had during the entire series, it's so banal and primitive when there should be a lot of guards, but people just run away.. and the constant "you'll be hanged at dawn," and eventually escape before dawn.. and so on a dozen times.. They would have taken it and hung it right away.. or they just cut off his head..
And if we talk about the ending, why run and save your own people right away, knowing that there was an ambush.. why not go to any village and gather those with whom the Romans were defeated in order to quickly clean out a group of traitors.. otherwise, it turns out that apart from the four, no one else defended their village at all.. It's kind of stupid.. The Praetor's son turned out to be smart, realized that life and his wife were more important than other people, and Viviatus screwed up in the end because of his principles, leaving his wife, children and village.. but he could have just agreed to the contract...
and in the end it turns out that he liked the series, but the too stupid and naive moments begin to outweigh it.. but now I want to read about this moment in history...

Of course, the rebels have an ironclad logic... They leave the child with an uncle, whom they themselves advise not to trust. Sandro initially knows something very bad about his brother, but does not tell the leader, although the safety of the entire squad depends on it. How can you even keep an obviously unreliable person in the squad, who is of little use? -_-

Hmm... considering that Alejo had threatened to kill Helena's son before, I thought he didn't consider him his own anyway. 0_o

I thought Mark had already decided everything, but he was still hesitating... -_-
Well, the rebels don't seem to be at war at all.
