I don't really understand people who don't recognize the third season. Of course, the former director and the author of the idea did not work on this season, but everything seems to be on the same level. Of course, it can't compare with the second season, but there are also very good episodes here. And the ending is not bad.
In short, I'm happy. I really regret that I didn't come across this series as a child and watched it just now.

Still, season 3 came out a little worse. The ending is blurred. In the end, I did not understand the motivation of this blond chief stonemason: if he planned a trap (both at the construction site and on the train) in the expectation that the gargoyles would be saved, then why did he want to destroy them at all? That is, he himself does not consider them to be genuinely dangerous villains.

At the beginning of the season, it seemed that the stonemasons were being protected by the prosecutor. It seems clear from the ending that there is no. It is unclear then why they acted so freely for a long time, where such a huge amount of money for all these weapons came from.

It is unclear what happened to the Enlighteners in the end. It is unlikely that these omniscient and omnipotent shadow puppeteers will not understand that Xanatos has released gargoyles. Seriously, they don't have any cells in the dungeon? Why are there no complaints about Xanatos? Their organization looks like it doesn't come out of it alive.

Well, there were questions about small things in separate episodes. A significant part of the series are filler ones. This was also the sin of season 2. It hurt him overall that Disney insisted on 52 episodes. But there were also some interesting stories broken down into parts. I particularly enjoyed Macbeth's backstory, "The City of Stone." The series either moved the overall plot or revealed ent.
I'm not sure if there was a need for season 3.

I heard that the author of the original story made a series of comics in which he showed his vision of events after season 2. I'd like to see what's in there.

When I was a kid, there was only the first season on the tape. I watched it now, I was satisfied) the creators did not let down expectations)

The shaking "camera" on the train made my eyes hurt 😁

I didn't like the second and third seasons. I watched the first one as a child, so I decided to review the animated series now.

The only thing I really liked about seasons 2 and 3 was Xanatos' defection to the gargoyles. Their interaction was really pleasant. ☺
