Overview
The story revolves around an unnamed third-year Kyoto University student who reminisces about his early campus life. He meets Ozu whose encouragement sets him on a mission of dubious morality. He contemplates his affection for a younger female student, Akashi, and makes promises to her, usually of and within a romantic subtext. The culmination of his dubious missions often conflict with his interest in her in some way.

The series with the plot of the so-called "infinite eight" can be presented in completely different ways, and the creators of "Yojonhan shinwa taikei" managed to cope with this task as well as possible. I did not find it intrusive (as it was in my equally favorite story about Haruhi Suzumiya), and the drawing certainly did not cause rejection (it is in the graphics that there is all that charm and individuality, and not like that "faceless" drawing in the usual beaded harems with bunny boys identical from the face). Each character is unique, funny, with his own character and "cockroaches" in his head. Probably, the very presentation of the anime in its manner somewhat resembled Shaft's work, and the protagonist seemed literally the "son" of Nozomu Itoshiki (known from the anime Sayonara, Zetsubou-Sensei). I was infinitely glad to hear Asian Kung-Fu Generation in the opening, and the ending turned out to be no less pleasant to the ear.
Of course, not everyone is able to appreciate such a thing as "Yojohan shinwa taikei", but at least I'm glad that I was able to get into this story, perhaps because, although I was able to see myself in a male character.
The artificially accelerated speech of the narrator finishes off at first. Fortunately, there are not so many episodes, you can master them to make a complete picture of the series. The characters reveal themselves quite interestingly, from different points of view. However, this is the only highlight. I can't say that I recommend it to everyone, as an amateur.
The voice acting is very top-notch, at first you don't have time to read the subs, but then you get involved and start loving her.
