The graphics are still cheap, but the animation of movements has become very good. At first, everything was laughable: the standard immersion in the genre and transformations, the perfect family and weird girlfriends. Of course, the theme of friendship is taken as the basis, and all 13 episodes were true to it.
You can compare it with Sailor Moon for a long time and find differences for a long time. For example, the local heroines are 5 years younger, instead of a ferret cat, wands/ staffs look more like technology than magic and speak in electronic voices, the drawing is kawaii / hentai, not shozy, the anime is maximally designed for the male eye, not the female one. It's a shame there aren't enough magicians – only two, on the other hand, and in Sailor Moon, all the main five gathered only at the end of the season of the series for the fortieth.
The dialogues are often empty or even terribly ridiculous in content... but I still love these magical battles! Because of them, the series looks easy and almost in one go! It was a little annoying that Nanoha didn't upgrade her skill at all, it was just that more and more complex spells/powers were raining down on her from the sky – not kosher. The music is written on the knee and consists of three chords, we were only pleased with the "moe moe nyash nyash" opening and ending.
But the impressions were pleasant, it makes sense to move on!
The series seemed to listen to my lamentations and reduced empty dialogues to a minimum, added abstruse dialogues about local "technology, time, space and magic", as well as devoted almost the entire screen space to fights! For maho-shojo, the fights are very powerful, spectacular and ... sci-fi, no matter how you want to call it magic, everything is too technical and thought out =Z
The friendship line was covered up in the very first episodes and the theme of family, lost and found, real or newly created, was opened.
Considering the fact that at the end of the final episode, I sat and smiled like a moron, happy with everything that was happening – I achieved my anime goal and plunged into the world of Nanoha with my head – I wish I could do that more often =Z
It's been 10 years, so Nanoha and Faith are 19, and you can't make them anymore – they're old, so the new ones come to the fore (while it's not clear why they're pushing the Harp, which I liked the most!) The whole family that waved weapons in the second OVALS has disappeared (the sadness... Kay's novel has not been revealed) and there is not a single love line at all, I don't like it the most. The topic of friendship and family was beaten up in all directions, but no one could fall in love (but Faith sleeps with Nanoha – the topic is not disclosed, but there is something to fantasize about))))
Magic is shown even more "technically". We are also plunged headlong into the intergalactic organization of Time and space. Sometimes it seems that you are watching a space opera, and not maho-shojo or, at the very least, SF/cyberpunk – a communication system through a network, combat cyborgs, artificial magicians – gorgeous~~~
Everything turned into a military academy: new heroes are naturally trained as soldiers before the war, which heats up interest – it turns out we are waiting for an epic machete? If the first season is a child's play, the second is inimitable action, then the third is an "exciting plot" - and the last episodes are simply demolished with their shock! And machach is epic for all 100500!
In short, I'm so glad I got to know the fandom! I fell in love with all the cyborgs and the Signum there, now I want a couple dozen Nanoha figurines xDDDD
