Overview

The Hatfield-McCoy saga begins with 'Devil' Anse Hatfield (Costner) and Randall McCoy (Paxton). Close friends and comrades during the Civil War, they returned to their neighboring homes - Hatfield in West Virginia, McCoy just across the Tug River border in Kentucky - to increasing tensions, misunderstandings and resentments that soon exploded into all-out warfare between the two families. As hostilities grew, friends, neighbors and outside forces joined the fight, bringing the two states to the brink of another Civil War.

How much had to be lost before someone realized something. I feel terribly sorry for the fool who was made a scapegoat. He's just a fool, that's all. He didn't deserve all this crap.
In general, if it weren't for the stupidity of the McCoy family, a lot could have been avoided.

A great series! An excellent historical drama, I watched all 3 episodes in one gulp without stopping. The atmosphere of that time epoch is very well conveyed.

It's a great series. I really like the way the viewer's opinion is manipulated.
Personally, I initially sympathized with the McCoys, and later with the Hatfields.
As a result, I no longer understand who I'm for)

Jonesy is incredibly dumb. Betrays the secrets of both the Hatfields and the McCoys. Himself, and without realizing what he was doing. Simplicity is worse than theft.
