With this series, you live your whole life from little Anne of Green Gables to an adult woman. This story made me think about life. How fleeting it seems now. When you live in all the turmoil of the days, you forget to appreciate the little moments, the rays of the sun, the moon that will never be the same as today, the snowiest day. I wish I could describe it like our Ann.
And you also think about how many people you meet along the way and that they are not durable. I was so sad to realize that Matthew and Marila were gone. This realization made me want to hug all my family.
And what a wonderful ending. I'm sure that's how it was supposed to be. Even if Domenic hadn't appeared in Ann's life, she would definitely have adopted someone.
Ann taught me a lot. She became for me a prototype of how to relate to life, to others and to adversity. I hope I can learn at least a little bit from her.
I can't believe there's a 13-year break between part 2 and 3... now we're seeing mature actors, and it's been a long time for them... many of the actors are already dead, and the characters too. This whole story makes you think about the transience of life.. that it doesn't stand still, but continues, no matter what. I am writing this with tears in my eyes, because it is hard to realize that time is so fleeting and merciless.
Ann and Gilbert - love, I will come back to them more than once.
