Everyone has a different concept of blackness, different degrees of its perception. And so this series became a black hole for me, showed the war on the part of the Germans from the outside and turned it inside out. We often see Russian TV series about the Second World War, about how Soviet soldiers are court-martialed after captivity, etc., and here we saw the story of Gretta, who was shot for panicked views. We saw tired German soldiers who, like Wilhelm, wanted the war to end for them. We saw how Charlie's naivety was disappearing every day. And we also saw how fucked up everyone was at the end. That not all werewolves in uniform were punished... This series is worth its top five. It's hard and painful.

I looked it up in one go. Tragic, catchy, exciting, instructive - which is what a war movie should be. Watching, I couldn't get rid of the feeling that I was watching a movie based on Remarque's book. I do not share the opinion of critics about the distortion of the facts of the behavior of Soviet, German and Polish soldiers by the filmmakers: everything was murder, executions, shootings, and violence on the part of both, so to say that only a German looted and raped is at least stupid.
The happy ending that I had expected was still not complete, but to some extent it happened, some heroes remained alive, but some villains as well.
The film is very good, a well-deserved five; I advise everyone!)

"Most people think that war consists of fights and battles. That's not so. War is waiting: for the next attack, the next lunch, the next morning."

Russian Russian is a very good mini-series, wonderful actors, and surprisingly good Russian, which is not harsh at all, unlike the same American TV series and films where the characters try to speak Russian, but it would be better if they didn't try at all.

I watched it in one go and I advise everyone to watch it without exception!!! This series is not even so much about the war as about how people change, adjust and break down from its beginning to the very end.

10/10

I started watching on the advice of a friend, but I didn't think it would take so long. A good movie about human emotions and torments. About honor, morality and morality, about how important it is to preserve these qualities in any situation, both in peacetime and in wartime.

@Ikar: It's strange that that's what's bothering you here. A squad of scouts enters a newly abandoned building - who knows what awaits them there. It seems that such advanced detachments were just forgiven a lot. But the fact that Lilya turns out to be at the head of the scout squad is, in my opinion, a much more fantastic twist!)
