The scene on the beach, it's "no thanks, I have toffees, I spent twopence on them" broke me the heart. I just sat there, looked at these little kids and cried like Father Melia and Iris with their ice cream dripping on their hands((
I am incredibly glad that May still does not stoop to the position of a lover, I hope she will not give up.
And, of course, the most magnificent comedy scene with the inspector...What ingenuity, what wit and dexterity, and how everything is executed! Just great! I laughed at every second of their invention)
So far, I like Ruby the most, she impresses with her directness and spontaneity, I hope her dream will come true. I also like the romantic knight pale, Billy. I thought Phyllis was hitting on him, but that's how it turned out.
The story of May's hosts will continue, I think. I think she's going to have an affair with the owner.
It always seemed like the priest was flirting with Ruby, even though he shouldn't be...Was it my imagination or not..?
their line with Billy came as a complete surprise to me. I just thought about how strange but sweet it is that two grown men, best friends, hug each other so warmly, as it turned out that this has nothing to do with friendship) Nevertheless, it's great that he helped Billy so much, he knew exactly what Billy needed and how to get him to do it. The final scene on the beach is simply beyond praise.
The Brezendales, of course, were also surprised, I did not expect such meanness and meanness.
