An epic scene of Ian getting ready to stop drinking in the morning. Especially if you can't help but think of Bernard Black. I love Dylan, a wonderful actor.

It's a great show and the actors are great. There is something to laugh about, there are dramatic moments, and what an intrigue was played out at the end. Of course, I wanted certainty in the last episode, but such a finale is very much in the theme here, everyone can decide for themselves how it ended..

In general, it is curious to think of this series as a kind of prehistory of Black Books. Because, like the lead actress Charlotte Coleman, who unfortunately died young, Ian Lyons could have lost his beloved wife some time after this episode. And in utter depression, unable to get over the loss, he could have returned to the city, changed his name to Bernard Black, bought a bookstore, somehow made friends with Fran from the store next door, hired Manny and let his life sink with alcohol and complete disregard. Which was shown to some extent in this series, but which was cleverly restrained and directed in the right direction by Lisa Lyons.
