It was well shot, but it's such a loose adaptation of the work that it confused me from the first seconds of the episode.
In the first book, the characters were young friends who hadn't even met.
Here they are already married adults.

The actors were chosen perfectly. The case when reading the work, I imagined them exactly like that. But the interpretation was disappointing - it was too far from the original, and therefore less interesting.

I didn't understand why the creators didn't like the original ending and the original villain, but in the end, instead of a strong political detective story, it turned out to be some kind of melodramatic nonsense. And the most important disenchantment is Tommy Beresford, from a calm, balanced, salon-like character, they made a parody spineless rag.

It's such a free adaptation that it's more based on motives. 1 more factual error has nothing to do with the original characters: "Partners in Crime" is a collection of short stories where Tommy and Tuppence investigate crimes under the guise of a private detective agency. And here is the film adaptation of 2 novels: "The Mysterious Enemy" and "N or M". And the action of the first after 1918, and the second during the Second World War. Here, having shifted everything to the 50s, they lost part of the plot. About little things, like the discrepancy of age, marital status and character, you can not even stutter. Although, it's a shame for the latter. As a result, this is a good detective mini-series, but it has absolutely nothing to do with Agatha Christie. Which is a minus for me, because I was expecting a film adaptation
