And for me, another TV series from my childhood) Compared to the books, of course, it's weak, but in general, the atmosphere is not even bad. The special effects want the best, but the main character has betrayed the image of the Witcher very qualitatively. I was pleased to review it recently.
The series probably looked good for its time (although 2002....). But now the special effects (especially the dragon) look amazing. Plus, the creators did something wild with the plot. But this series has its own atmosphere, for which I don't really want to scold it. The acting is very good - Buttercup, Jennifer. And of course M.Zhebrovsky is 100% into the role of the witcher.
Geralt studied to be faceless even before it became mainstream :D But seriously, I really liked it. Despite a certain drawl, the atmosphere is sustained, little Geralt is beautiful, the plot is close to the original, and the musical accompaniment is excellent. I'll be happy to keep watching.
I have to admit that the Poles made a better dragon hunt in 2001 than Netflix did in 2019. The Polish version is much closer to the book, there is less confusion in it, and in general, what is happening there looks more meaningful.
And even the dragon isn't as boring as Netflix's. He flies, fights, and speaks with his mouth.
you can't escape your destiny.....
