The series is dedicated to mammals, a class of the most highly organized, successful, diverse and intelligent living creatures on the planet. David Attenborough talks about their general and specific evolution and adaptation, anatomy and physiology, the peculiarities of their lifestyle and behavior, their abilities, skills, tactics and strategies of survival.

Due to their wide adaptability, mammals were able to explore vast territories – from the Arctic ice to the shores of Antarctica, land, air, water and underground environments. There is something to show and tell. The viewer will learn about the history and components of their success, and will see amazing examples of extremely effective adaptation to a wide variety of difficult living conditions. Not to mention the complexity and variety of their behavior. And it's not just about instincts, but about the ability to analyze external influences, to anticipate events and accumulate experience. And also social organization, offspring education and public education! It is quite natural and natural that mammals are the pinnacle of modern wildlife on Earth, they play a key role in the food chains of most ecosystems, and even without taking into account their most predatory, restless and insatiable representative, they are an important environmental and landscape-forming factor. In short, the topic itself is extremely interesting and quite extensive.

The story is generously illustrated with impressive, often unique shots. The latest cameras, instruments, innovative methods and all sorts of camera tricks were used again. And just high-quality shots of animals in their natural habitat turned out to be very spectacular. Spectacular and fascinating, informative and informative, scientific and accessible. Excellent video footage and exceptionally intelligent comments. One of Attenborough's best TV shows. I definitely recommend it.

Language. I have already noted Attenborough's impeccable, correct, lively and distinct language many times. I would like to add that he not only knows well HOW to tell, but also knows perfectly well WHAT he is telling. And you can feel it, as you can feel his sincerity, passion and some kind of restrained enthusiasm without pathos or empty-mouthed emotions. Subtitles, in my opinion, will be required only for some terms.

It's a shame for the sloth) Boo, David)))
The squeakers are just something! So beautiful, cute, nimble and resourceful! It's necessary to harvest hay for the winter, and also a variety, a whole cellar)) It's a great story, I watched it with pleasure.
There are so many different amazing antelopes, they all have such ears, such muzzles...And they also cope with prickly acacias.

@deityrox: It also occurred to me that she might harm the baby. But there are still questions. For example, the opportunity to harm is just an opportunity, and leaving such a crumb alone on earth and not even trying to help is certain death. Or she could at least lower her paws to the cub and then raise them to the bag when he gets in.

The series is dedicated to insectivores, including bats.
Facts from the series:
1. On an island in New Zealand (it's not clear which one, though) they search for insects at night in the forest floor like shrews.
2. Mexican crease-eaters (L. mice) hunt migrating moths at an altitude of up to 3 kilometers, in the area of Texas, USA.
