The directing is really great, and the whole series is much deeper than it seems at first glance. And let it not be surprising that the series does not have such a large audience, because the kaiju theme (although it is popular) lost its relevance more than 20 years ago, now in the era of endless isekai and harem guards, it can be visited by people who appreciate artistic value in works, those who are looking for endless fights can safely drop)

@vk377048: Personally, the work aroused a great sense of nostalgia for me, and I would also highlight some parallels with the classics of the 90s, the film Dark City. There will be spoilers next.
The hero wakes up with amnesia in the same way and does not remember his past, manipulating the consciousness and memory of others, the city is the only location from which one cannot leave, but at the same time there is a complete feeling that there is some kind of life outside of it and other cities (not really), and the aliens are in charge. All of this, who lead from the shadows

It was a good title. Not expecting too much from him, I nevertheless got an interesting plot, good action and cool characters, especially Akane and Anchi. The story shown here is really very interesting, although throughout the series there was a feeling that there were a lot of conventions in the world of Gridman, and even too obvious ones. But in the end, it's all more or less explained. Anyway, the ending turned out to be very decent and bright, as for me.
The title is definitely worth watching.

Damn, that reminds me.... whose ward. I can't remember. In general, the moral is that the further you go, the more you smell some kind of 80s classics...
