In this series, long before Rowan Atkinson ventured into Maigret, the acclaimed comedian and star of the sitcom Only Fools And Horses, David Jason, tried himself in the serious role of a detective. In my opinion, it was quite successful, and I was lucky with the character. Old-fashioned, a little snide and harmful, unceremoniously eating the products of colleagues, witty, sharp and unyielding, unable to work with papers and not particularly organized at all, often ignoring regulations and procedures, stubborn, stubborn, with his own independent opinion, often inconvenient for superiors and rarely pleasant for subordinates. However, his intuition almost does not let him down, in the end he turns out to be right, and a complicated crime is solved. Despite his vast experience and slight pretense of cynicism, he deeply worries about many of the victims and does not always control his emotions.

It turned out, in my opinion, to be one of the most interesting, rich, lively and sympathetic images of a police detective on British television.
