We are shown how Frances came to the restaurant with Tony, asked for a pen and paper, and began to write. Then there are shots of Tony with a mustache and his daughters at her house... And then Francis writes again in the restaurant. As for me, it's a clear hint that these happy-end shots with Tony are either her dreams or the plot of her new book.
7 episodes, no one understands what's going on here at all. Episode 8 - happy ending.
