God, that's what it takes. I am very glad that you can watch the lives of their wives, not the presidents themselves. I really liked how Viola conveyed Michelle Obama's facial expressions, Julia is as always great, she can transform into another person just at the click of a finger.

I like how they draw parallels in each episode: what was unacceptable in the 30s is finally becoming the norm in 2012 (albeit with difficulty). Gradually, everything is improving. It's a pity, not in all countries...
I had little interest in the history of the United States, I didn't know anything about Fords before the series. How sad and interesting it is to observe this "intermediate" link: Ford is ready for change, but the majority of people are not yet. The sad picture is that the country is not being developed due to excessive conservatism. And it's even sadder to be compared to Russia, which is fleeing from liberalism like the plague.

The episode is great, but I didn't understand the scene with Hick's tears. I would never believe that such a strong and wise woman, working as a military commander, would be offended and cry from resentment that she could not get a full-fledged date with the first lady during the bloodiest war. That is, she literally did war reports, knew a lot and saw the pain, suffering, consequences of the war - and throws is it a shame that the first lady, with whom she has been in a relationship for many, many years (and obviously could never give her a lot of time because of all her duties and activities), could not give her an evening?

Hick was the smartest woman of that time, I don't understand why they decided to make a selfish fool of her here.
