Finally, the First Channel has been born with useful content. If they had filmed more of this, maybe adequate viewers would have appeared there.

Somehow it so happened that almost simultaneously I watched two TV series "Homeland" and "Amethyst" on the not-too-favorite topic of spies. And if I watched "Homeland" purely on the principle of "don't leave in the middle", feeling tired of the adventures of a mentally unstable heroine, then I would not refuse a couple of additional seasons of "Amethyst".
It's a pleasant series, balanced, with just a little bit of action, drama, romance, love, friendship, duty. There is no negative impression of the characters, the feeling of a non-stop stream of hysteria at the level of "khan's world", "chef, the moustache is gone", "there are only traitors around", "all p*doras, I'm the only D'Artagnan", "isn't there a knife sticking out of my back" (as, for example, in "Homeland"
I have no idea if the scriptwriters had a task (other than entertaining the viewer with the adventures of spies) to create a good SVR advertisement, but they did it wonderfully. They're like scouts/spies with a human face, not a bunch of maniacs and psychopaths who are ready to smash both strangers and their own in batches in order to achieve their goals.
Special thanks for the beautiful locations, pleasing the eye throughout the eight episodes. In short, it will be fun - I'll be happy to watch)))

To be honest, it turned out a little weak. The plot is straightforward. The characters are extremely formulaic, the characters and personalities are not traceable. The acting barely reaches the grade of "passable". Camerawork is generally excellent. Technical issues and logical inconsistencies are traditionally plentiful. A romantic line and suffering for the motherland and BELOVED HUSBAND naturally cause laughter, is this a spy series or a melodrama for teenage girls? I've probably heard about the super rifle five hundred times, is this Lobaev's product placement? If so, then her potential buyers are already aware. The series is very dynamic. That's a plus. Now the cons. There are more of them. Agnia Detkovskite is as incompetent as ever. It would be better to become a model. In general, the cast of the main characters is very weak. They don't complement each other, but they hang out on their own. There are no complaints about the masters. As always, they are on the same level. I'm still watching. But I'm not sure I have the patience to make it to the end.
