Overview

Star City is a propulsive, paranoid thriller that takes us back to the key moment in the alt-history retelling of the space race — when the Soviet Union became the first nation to put a man on the moon. But this time, we explore the story from behind the Iron Curtain, showing the lives of the cosmonauts, the engineers and the intelligence officers embedded among them in the Soviet space program, and the risks they all took to propel humanity forward.

Five years ago, I would have said, "wild cranberries," but today I will say that everything is quite plausible.

Some kind of typewriter did all the work for you, you just shot a man in the head to hide your blatant incompetence. What my husband was told is interesting.

It's a little dark, but the genre is listed as a thriller and they handle it.
But there is no interest yet, it's boring.

If you think you're a "cranberry," go ahead and watch the cosmo movie "The Challenge" with a boost without a beak, don't torment yourself and us with whining.

The local Korolev is apparently so secret that not only his subordinates, but perhaps even himself, do not know his name. This is a conspiracy! (And so, yes, the level of paranoia among the leadership of the USSR was such that, unfortunately, his name was hidden from the public, and the series funnily brings this moment to the point of absurdity). The H1 rocket was made similar in appearance to the real prototype. It remains to find out how Kazakhstan existed separately right during the Soviet era (judging by the inscription on the floor of the screen, Kazakhstan instead of the Kazakh SSR), apparently, was formed together with Roscosmos in the USSR from the original series. And so even about Operation Korolev, which tragically ended, the scriptwriters apparently read this achievement by the standards of the main series. Well, the assumption that, apparently thanks to a successful operation, Korolev was able to finish H1 (which they unsuccessfully tried to do after his death in reality) and get ahead of the United States on Mars is the most plausible and logical thing that could be thought of in the genre of alternative history.

Even if the USSR didn't sometimes look like foggy Britain without fog, apart from documentary footage, it would be great. To be honest, this eternal blue-gray filter has been shaken up.
