Overview

Moscow, 1977. Two ‘PONIES' (‘persons of no interest' in intelligence speak) work anonymously as secretaries in the American Embassy. That is until their husbands are killed under mysterious circumstances in the USSR, and the pair become CIA operatives. Bea is an over-educated, Russian-speaking child of Soviet immigrants. Her cohort, Twila, is a small-town girl who is as abrasive as she is fearless. Together, they work to uncover a vast Cold War conspiracy and solve the mystery that made them widows in the first place.

Emilia Clarke swearing in Russian is the best and funniest thing I've seen lately) Of course, there are plenty of cranberries here, but the series looks very cheerful from the start, especially if you perceive it partly as a comedy.

By the end of the action, they gave me a ride)
In general, I liked the series, you can stifle and find fault, but if you approach it with an open heart and a sense of humor, it's super, the heroines are charismatic, the plot is even interesting

I was so depressed, as they complain about the cold, without a hat and in a coat. The coldest day of the year. And my thermometer outside the window shows -40.
Emilia swearing in Russian is cute 😅
Yes, and this special aesthetic of the Americans' depiction of Russia 😂
In short, it's still intriguing)

There are at least two great scenes in this series - Bee's "leap of faith" doesn't know which floor to throw in the trash (unrealistically, she could have missed/hit some hard trash/killed herself on the edges of the tank, not to mention that she would have burned down 10 times in the apartment), and Twyla's visit in the men's locker room of the bathhouse (in real life, they would have let her in there).
Well, the music at the disco was delivered separately. Ra-ra-rasputin, heh)

But the murder scene at the end is kind of creepy (I don't like that.
The famous bloody shit, eh...
