An amazing ending to an amazing series. It's like saying goodbye to good friends.

I really enjoyed the series. First, the story itself, that is, the time and place of action. The action takes place in the English city of Hastings and its surroundings during the Second World War. I didn't know too much about how the British lived at that time, and there are a lot of characteristic events, details, characters and all sorts of details in the series. It is very interesting and informative.
Secondly, the main character in the series is simply incomparable and charismatic - Detective Chief Superintendent Christopher Foyle, extremely restrained, and usually extremely taciturn. His main "trick" is not so much his detective skills as his phenomenal ability to accurately and accurately argue his point of view. His slender, strict, capacious and, at the same time, rather economical formulation leaves no chance to challenge the correctness of his position and the maximum possible compliance with the law, morality, morality.
In addition, the series is very soundly and not boring filmed, it consists not only of tirades, there are many interesting episodes, the characters are quite lively and cause empathy. By the way, the heroine of Honeysuckle Weeks also turned out to be very unusual and characteristic. The spy nonsense in recent seasons has hardly spoiled the impression. The series are not gobby, they are 90 minutes each, in fact, quite like full-fledged films.

A wonderful series! Dramatic, intense... and it's topical, if you look at it: it's been almost seventy years, and there are problems in society (regardless of countries and nationalities) the same ones.
From the very beginning, I was worried about the Polish old men, and when the accident happened, I almost burst into tears... And this moment, when Lea escorts Nicholas to a conference, you realize that she is deliberately condemning him to death, and everything inside is boiling and shrinking.
So right away, I can't remember any other episode of Foyle that would be so attention-grabbing that I was afraid to blink.
