I have two important thoughts that stand out for me regarding this episode.
First: how long do they live, damn it! Rory has been waiting for Amy for two thousand years as a Roman, Amy has been waiting for them with the Doctor for as many as 36 years.. In a recent episode, they were stuck in 69 for several months, and in general there were a lot of similar cases. If you think about it, they remember all these days they've been through. It's just that if you put yourself in their place, then it's a complete tin.
Second: what a cool Amy in her 50+! Such a serious madama with a katana and a robot with a painted face named Rory.. I still like Amy the baby who is with us now, but Amy the old lady is just beautiful.
The Doctor must have been very badly shaken... Anyway, I was really shaken up by Rory. It's great that they showed just such an Amy 36 years later. She couldn't be any different. After all, the River doesn't fall far from the Pond :D
Well, to be honest, her hysteria killed her a little, Rory waited for her for 2000 years, and after 36 she sent everyone to hell and is not going to save anyone! And she also hates the doctor, although he told her at the beginning that there are different streams of time. Of course, I haven't tried to wait 36 years, I don't know how I would react, so many years alone and constant clashes with robots, and so on, but damn, this is a PPC. As a child, he came after 12 years because he promised, and then she doubted? In short, I'm a little disappointed. And yet I believe that this is a parallel Amy, the real one could not do that. NO, AMY WOULD HAVE WAITED, she would have hoped to the last!!!
@Xenochka: By the way, yes. Considering that it was her fault that she was with her phone. There is no need to ask "What button did you press to enter", you never know what can happen in the world of time paradoxes...
It can also be understood. Firstly, he and Rory have different characters, respectively, it can be hard for each of them to wait for a long time in different ways. Secondly, When Rory was waiting, he knew when his waiting would end, he knew his goal, and Amy lived in uncertainty, without a goal, hoping that every next day would be the one when she was rescued
You know when sometimes you meet someone so beautiful and then you actually talk to them and five minutes later they’re as dull as a brick? Then there’s other people, when you meet them you think, “Not bad. They’re okay.” And then you get to know them and… and their face just sort of becomes them. Like their personality’s written all over it. And they just turn into something so beautiful.
Okay, question. Amy, why is it red? Who in general will choose red in an incomprehensible situation? You're not colorblind like Finn. Or does she really like red? :< The series is great.
@white_svirelle: here, yes, the same question. All those traffic lights... Red is the color of an alarm, well, or a warning, like a stop sign. The green light turns on when everything is in order. How did she manage to go against the associations so entrenched in the subconscious? Although it's Amy, she bit four psychiatrists, what am I surprised about? :D
@irvls: most likely, it was not the color that worked, but the elevator call with the goal of going to the first floor. I always press the down button in such cases, and not both, as many do)
In fact, I was most surprised by her unwillingness to save herself from the past and change this life. Ie, all her emotions are understandable, but why does she need these 36 years of loneliness and suffering?
And the fact that all these years of torment were in vain (to some extent there is a share of masochism in this, but this is psychology) The fact that we have suffered with a lot of effort is for many the same feat, which I want to be imprinted in memory, in history, was appreciated by others
I don't know about you, but I clearly associate this series with the song: Will you still love me When I'm no longer young and beautiful? Will you still love me When I got nothing but my aching soul? (っಥ﹏ಥ)っ
Amy and Rory are the best companions of the new school (at the moment). Especially after Amy got over her attraction to the Doctor. They are beautiful. And Rory is beautiful. Amy loves him for a reason.
listen, well, as far as I understand this is time-time, then any solution leads to a split of the time stream... That is, the moment of pressing the button in any case involves two actions and two universes. And regardless of whether Rory and the Doctor would have met an older Amy, she would still have appeared and existed ... Just as in another universe she would have helped them, or in another one she would not have helped. Complicated
is still sad, yes
hahahahhaaa :(

The series is great.
probably, Amy just always chooses the most unusual option.
My heart breaks apart every time I look at Amy aged.
36 years old. 36 years alone.
And the most important thing... Never forget... The first rule:
Doctor lies.
Will you still love me
When I'm no longer young and beautiful?
Will you still love me
When I got nothing but my aching soul?
(っಥ﹏ಥ)っ
Just as in another universe she would have helped them, or in another one she would not have helped.
