@antongyllenhaal: In the previous episode, the parents said they got married when they got pregnant with Ross. But as far as I remember, there will be a story that parents love Ross more precisely because they couldn't get pregnant, and he became a miracle of birth.
So the scriptwriters don't really pay attention to what they're saying about the characters' pasts.
